Rare Cloud
Case study design for Rare Cloud, provider of hosting, VPS, VPN, and proxy services. Minimalist branding with hidden easter egg in cloud logo.

The Challenge
Rare Cloud is a hosting provider that offers more than just hosting—VPS, VPN, proxies, and a lot more. They wanted a logo that represented the fact that they're very helpful and always there for their clients.
The key concept? A subtle hand extending from the cloud—a visual metaphor for being there to help.
Beyond the logo, they needed a full website designed in Figma (to be handed off to developers for coding), team t-shirts, and printable assets. I worked closely with them throughout the project to deliver exactly what they needed.
The Approach
I started with the logo. A stylized, rounded cloud shape in a purple-to-blue gradient. The “Easter egg” is the subtle hand formed by the lines and negative space extending downwards from the cloud. It's not obvious at first glance, but once you see it, you can't unsee it. That's the point—they're always there, even when you don't notice. The typography is clean, modern, lowercase sans-serif—”rarecloud.” Professional but approachable.
For the website, I designed everything in Figma with a dark mode aesthetic and heavy use of futuristic, isometric 3D illustrations of servers and tech hardware. The hero section reads “Cloud for the Unconventional.” Service pages for Residential Proxy, 4G Proxy, and Linux KVM VPS include clear pricing tiers and feature lists. I added a worldwide connectivity map with purple data nodes and sleek cards for “Active Deals & Rewards.”
For team apparel, I designed black t-shirts with the logo on the chest and back, plus a geometric, constellation-like pattern on the lower half—reinforcing the cloud/network theme.
The Impact
Rare Cloud launched with a complete brand identity that feels both cutting-edge and approachable. The subtle hand in the logo became a conversation starter, and the Figma website design gave developers everything they needed to code it accurately.
We've built a great collaboration and continue to work together on new projects.
